Rio severely broke his rear leg two weeks before he came to Yaqui. Left untreated by his owner and having his bone exposed to the elements for so long, he was in dire straits. A good Samaritan was able to convince his owner to surrender Rio to Yaqui and we took him to the Emergency Vet immediately. Unfortunately, his leg could not be saved, and amputation was necessary. He is managing just fine as a tri-paw, and he is now ready for his forever family. He has a gentle nature and gets along well with other dogs but he loves his humans.
