Pinto was found lying on the side of the road after being struck by a car, unable to get up and suffering from severe injuries. A compassionate Good Samaritan found him and contacted Yaqui Animal Rescue, and he was immediately rushed to an emergency veterinary clinic.
Diagnostic testing revealed that Pinto had sustained a fractured pelvis and was also heartworm positive. He underwent complex pelvic surgery to repair his injuries and has since begun treatment for heartworm disease. Throughout his recovery, Pinto has also received ongoing pain management, follow-up veterinary care, and rehabilitation to help him regain his strength and mobility.
Today, Pinto is walking on his own, a remarkable milestone that reflects his resilience and determination to heal. Despite everything he has endured, Pinto remains incredibly loving, intelligent, and friendly. His gentle spirit and kind, expressive eyes have captured the hearts of everyone who has met him. With continued medical care and rehabilitation, Pinto is well on his way to a full recovery and will soon be ready to find the loving forever home he deserves.
